As you stated, it's a casual Reddit post, not some higher-end, monetized YouTube video, so the expected level of quality and polish is deemed to be reasonably low. With that said, not including the performance metrics in a post intended to showcase performance really hurt your main point.
I initially played God of War (2018) back on PS4 Pro which at the time I had great time playing but wished that the frames were locked 60 as it was always in 30-50. Prior to Ragnarok, I ended up playing God of War (2018) on PS5 again at locked 60FPS and the experience was so much better. Edit: Locked the FPS to 30, turned off the film grain and motion blur, put all the graphics setting to “Original” and set AMD FSR 2.0 to Balanced with 0.3 FSR Sharpening to and it runs smooth and looks good. Thanks for the help. “I got the Steam Deck because I hate tweaking settings in PC games” 😬😬😬.
The biggest gripe of me was the camera placement during combat. During puzzle solving, traversal and story telling, the camera angle does wonders. Its fantastic. But the same camera angle during combat ruins the whole flow of combat. Its hard to track enemies, despite the enemies marker and the combat doesnt feel great at all due to the same
By the time I made it to the 2018 game (about 9 months ago) my son was about the same age as Kratos’ son. Now Kratos is older and trying to model how to be a good man for his son, but the world won’t let him change and as he tries to harness his rage for good he sees his own flaws reflected back to him by his son.
Third person games that have a super narrow fov (without any option to increase it) always bug me. > Download and install THIS MOD (Flawless Widescreen) > Search for God of War. >It will install a plugin for the game. >Fire up the game. >Select 'Fix enabled' and 'Fov Adjustment". >Choose the value you want on the slider.
